This beautiful fine bone china Sea Globe has a stunning oriental turquoise blue, with cascading marks of iron oxide markings that have fused into the glaze whilst fired at a high temperature creating a beautiful movement to the globe. Soft aventurine tones fall from the rim which has had platinum detailing applied during the final firing.
Fine bone china Sea Globes are handmade in my studio here on the Pembrokeshire coast. Their design stems from the Pembrokeshire coast where I live and work, capturing the essence of the dramatic landscape and ever changing scenery we experience here throughout the year.
Please note this glaze, like most studio pottery glazes, will craze over time.
