This fine bone china Sea Globe is finished with a stoney / green / aventurine tone that is uneven around the circumference of the globe. Black oxide reactions add a mottled texture to its appearance with the globe being finished with gold detailing around the rim during the final firing.
Fine bone china Sea Globes are handmade in my studio here on the Pembrokeshire coast. Their design stems from the Pembrokeshire coast where I live and work, capturing the essence of the dramatic landscape and ever changing scenery we experience here throughout the year.
